Modelon’s enhanced AI Assistant now helps engineers analyze models, launch simulations, and accelerate engineering workflows directly within the Modelon Impact platform.
▶️ Watch how it works!

When we introduced the AI Assistant in Modelon Impact, the goal was simple: help engineers get answers faster, troubleshoot issues more easily, and reduce the friction that often slows simulation workflows.

Today, we’re taking the next step.

The latest AI Assistant enhancements bring agentic simulation capabilities to Modelon Impact, enabling engineers not only to ask questions about their models, but also to interact with and act on them directly.

From Questions to Action

With an open model, engineers can now use natural language to:

  • Explore model structure and components
  • Find parameters, variables, and signals
  • Analyze Modelica source code
  • Identify potential modeling issues
  • Run saved simulation experiments
  • Track simulation progress directly in the interface

Instead of manually navigating complex model hierarchies and workflows, users can quickly move from questions to insights, and from insights to results.

A More Interactive Engineering Experience

The enhanced AI Assistant helps bridge the gap between analysis and action. New drag-and-drop capabilities allow users to:

  • Drag result variables from the AI Assistant into the workspace to automatically create plots
  • Drag recommended components directly into model diagrams

These features make it easier to act on AI recommendations without interrupting the engineering workflow.

Simulation that Helps Engineers Work Faster

Simulation projects often require users to inspect models, troubleshoot issues, configure experiments, and interpret results before meaningful engineering decisions can be made. By combining model awareness with workflow automation, the AI Assistant helps reduce the time spent on repetitive tasks, allowing engineers to focus more on system design and analysis.

“Modelon’s AI Assistant proved highly valuable for troubleshooting, as it helped us to quickly identify where we had made mistakes, understand the simulation log, and find clear steps to resolve the issues. It also supported proper component parametrization, making the modelling process faster, more transparent, and easier to navigate.”

Built for the Future of AI-Driven Engineering

The expanded AI Assistant is powered by a more modular, context-aware architecture designed to support deeper interaction with engineering models and workflows. With support for Model Context Protocols (MCP), Modelon is building a foundation for increasingly intelligent, secure, and scalable AI experiences that integrate naturally into engineering processes.

What’s Next

The introduction of agentic capabilities marks an important step toward AI-driven engineering workflows in Modelon Impact. By combining physics-based simulation, open standards, and AI-powered assistance, Modelon is helping engineering teams move from model questions to simulation results faster—accelerating innovation while keeping engineers in control.
