2018.1 Release Notes – Vapor Cycle Library 2.1

Release Notes for Vapor Cycle Library 2.1

Vapor Cycle Library 2.1 is part of Modelon’s 2018.1 release.

New versions of Modelon libraries are sold and distributed directly from Modelon, as well as approved resellers.

New Features

  • Added PhaseSeparator model is based on the three port ThreePortPhaseSeparator. A phase separating volume with two outlets at defined heights and specific flow resistances, assuming complete de-mixing of phases and including pressure drop due to friction.

  • Initialization parameter provided in Sources component. For a flow source, an initial pressure may be supplied and for a pressure source, a start value for the massflow rate may be provided. This can be helpful to get convergence on test cases initializing in steady-state.
  • Reference points for the computation of specific enthalpy and specific entropy are added to individual medium package documentation.

Conversion of user libraries

  • User models can be automatically converted using the provided conversion script.

Vapor Cycle 2.1 is based on the Modelon Base Library 3.1 and Modelica Standard Library 3.2.2. It can be combined with Liquid Cooling Library 2.1 and Heat Exchanger Library 2.1.
