Vehicle Dynamics Library 3.2 is part of Modelon’s 2018.2 release.
New versions of Modelon libraries are sold and distributed directly from Modelon, as well as approved resellers.
Twin Wheels Now Available Using DelftTyre and FTire Models
The DelftTyreTwin and FTireTwin wheel models have been added that use the DelftTyre® and FTire® tire force models. These additional wheel models make using DelftTyre or FTire for truck models possible.
Added Steerable FiveLink Suspensions
Steerable FiveLink linkages and suspensions have been added. The fivelink suspension is effectively a double wishbone suspension with both the lower or upper wishbone split into two separate fore/aft links and a steer link. Each link has a separate attachment point to the upright. Three variants are available: fully kinematic, compliant lower links to chassis and compliant upper and lower links to chassis.
Kinematic Multi-body Strut
A multi-body UnconstrainedTranslational strut was added that provides mechanical frames connectors on the interface. This allows the connection of the antirollbar, for example, to either the upper or lower the strut body.
- The closed-loop driver models have been reformulated to make it easier to add user-defined control strategies. New templates and examples have been added for lateral, longitudinal, and combined controllers. These new components can be found in Drivers.ClosedLoop.
- A new fivelink suspension template (FiveLinkTT1) has been added and two existing independent fivelink suspension linkages (FiveLinkTT, FiveLinkTTE1) have been modified to extend this template.
Conversion of user libraries
User libraries will automatically be converted from version 3.1. These conversions are made using the included conversion script: VehicleDynamics/Resources/Scripts/Convert_to_3.2.mos.
Vehicle Dynamics Library 3.2 is based on Modelon Base Library 3.2 and Modelica Standard Library 3.2.2.
