Modelon is building a system modeling and simulation platform of the future, with the goal of creating a robust commercial platform available in the cloud. The solution needs a highly interactive user interface for system modeling, massive parallelization of numerical simulations, post-processing of large data sets, and visualization in 2D and 3D. Collaborative system design preferred by modern engineers is a key capability of the platform, as well as high standards for IT security to keep sensitive customer product data safe. As a developer, you will interact frequently with experts within Modelon in a range of fields, including physical modeling, numerical algorithms, systems design, and compiler technology, all disciplines needed to create a great systems design platform.

You are an experienced and ambitious software engineer who wants to contribute to the success of a new product in a growing market of advanced industrial users.

What you will do

  • Design and implement new features based on customer feedback and the product roadmap
  • Establish architecture and best practices with your teammates
  • Improve our codebase by engaging in regular code reviews and refactoring activities

What you will bring

  • Strong programming skills in JavaScript and/or TypeScript that you acquired through working on several large and challenging projects
  • You are passionate about establishing and communicating about front-end architecture and you have previous experience with software design of complex web apps including agile architectures
  • An instinct to develop clean code and an interest in current best practices
  • Experience with React and its ecosystem, including Redux or similar
  • A team-oriented spirit and interest in working in an agile product team
  • Fluent communication in English and an interest in technical discussion and knowledge sharing
