Thermal Management
We have world class experience of modeling and simulating thermal management systems. Our Air Conditioning Library is widely used within the automotive industry to develop and optimize A/C circuits. Our solutions have helped our customers to a significant reduction of costly test vehicles.
Vehicle Dynamics and Active Safety
Modelon has comprehensive experience in reproducing and predicting vehicle dynamic behavior using simulation. Our team members have extensive experience from both simulation and testing. We provide models, often based on the Vehicle Dynamics Library, as well as services and training to premium racing teams around the world. We also successfully help OEMs to improve their vehicle dynamics development regarding for example active safety and limit handling. Our vehicle dynamics skills are not limited to just chassis design. With solid understanding of design of control, chassis, transmission, driveline, brake and new propulsions systems, and together with our simulation and optimization expertise, we have a strong toolbox to help develop active safety systems.
E-mobility
The Battery Library allows you to model a battery’s electric and thermal behaviour including aging. Features like the state-of-charge or state-of-health are obtained from electrical and semi-empirical approaches, which enables efficient provision of input data. The Battery Library is suited for the design of automotive and grid systems.
Engine Cooling
Our engine cooling design tools are used to predict even extreme situations. Many of our customers push their cars to the limit, often at high temperatures, and they rely on our expertise to get there.
Hybrid Vehicles
Hybrid technology gives great opportunities for new engineering solutions, but it also requires you to focus on the right ones. With the multi-engineering capabilities of Modelica and Dymola, we have since the start had a strong platform for hybrid vehicle modeling and simulation. In combination with our control and optimization expertise, we can help you set up a tool chain for energy management and configuration selection.
