Modelon has a long tradition of strong cooperation with different academic institutions and the Modelica technology is widely adopted for education, research and student engineering competitions. Some example applications are:

Formula Student/SAE

Our solutions for race vehicle design and evaluation are also applied by student teams in the Formula Student/SAE competition. In this competition, teams build a one-seated formula car that is evalued with respect to aspects such as race performance, design solutions, and production costs.

Education

Many of our libraries are used in under graduate education as a way to enhance the understanding by means of virtual experimentation. With the Vehicle Dynamics Library students can perpare and plan also the costly real life experiments by first simulating them to maximize the benefits.

Research

We have a long tradition of supporting Universities and Research Institutions with tools and expertise on modeling and simulation to allow them to focus on their research topics.
