Pricing Structure

Licenses and Support Service are offered under alternative pricing structures.

  • PLC/ALC - Perpetual License

The Primary License Charge (PLC) is applicable for each license of each Licensed Program ordered under the PLC/ALC pricing structure. The PLC is a onetime, non-refundable charge. Payment of the PLC for a Licensed Program provides Licensee with a perpetual license (subject to the conditions set forth in the Agreement).

The Annual License Charge (ALC) is a yearly charge. For the first year of each license of each Licensed Program, ALC is due together with the PLC. Payment of the ALC for a Licensed Program entitles Licensee to i) Support Service for the Licensed Program for one (1) year and ii) a license (subject to the conditions set forth in the Agreement) to use the Release(s) of such Licensed Program made available by Modelon during such year, in lieu of the license(s) on the previous Release(s) of the Licensed Program delivered to Licensee.

  • YLC - Rental License by Year

The Yearly License Charge (YLC) for a Licensed Program is the charge for i) a one (1) year license (subject to the conditions set forth in the Agreement) to use the Release(s) of such Licensed Program made available by Modelon during such year, and ii) Support Service for the Licensed Program for one (1) year.

  • QLC - Rental license by Quarter

The Quarterly License Charge (QLC) for a Licensed Program is the charge applicable to i) use the
Release(s) of such Licensed Program made available by Modelon, and ii) access Support Service for the Licensed Program, for a three (3) months period (subject to the conditions set forth in the Agreement).

Licensing Schemes

  • Sharable (concurrent/floating)

Use of a Concurrent Licensed Program is authorized for a maximum number of simultaneous Users and/or Extended Enterprise Users, if applicable.

  • Nodelocked (machine based)

Use of a Licensed Program in Machine Based mode is authorized on the number of Machines for which the Licensed Program has been ordered.

  • License Keys and Target Id (Host Id)

Licenses are protected by license key files. Licenses key files are issued for the unique target id of the host machine. The target id is the MAC address of the host machine, which may be either the user PC for a machine-based license or the license server for concurrent licenses.
