Dymola 2017 FD01 from Dassault Systèmes has been recently released and in connection to this Modelon announces new releases of its Modelica Libraries.
Modelon's industry grade model libraries conform with the Modelica open standard and are supported by leading modeling and simulation tools including Dassault Systèmes Dymola, ANSYS Simplorer, MapleSoft MapleSim, and Ricardo IGNITE.
Air Conditioning Library 1.13 includes new models for an electronic expansion valve and a check valve. Together with the added optional bypass in the orifice tube and a basic check valve functionality in all valve models, many more expansion device options exist with this release of the Air Conditioning Library.
Electric Power Library 2.2.4 comes with improved Modelica compliance and documentation.
Environmental Control Library 3.2.1 contains minor improvements and corrections.
Engine Dynamics Library 1.2.6 contains minor improvements and corrections.
Fuel Cell Library 1.4 comes with robust city gas reformer and reactions, longitudinal cell material heat conduction, atom conservation checker and new visualizer models. Read more about news in Fuel Cell Library in our recent blog.
Fuel Systems Library 4.0 now allows importing detailed tank geometry from CAD packages. This provides you with an entirely new quality in the prediction of fuel levels that was not available in system simulation before. The detailed geometry is also used consistently in the computation of heat transfer for instance, where wet and dry surface portions are distinguished.
Additionally, Fuel System Library contains many more improvements such as enhanced predictions for inerting and flammability analyses. Take a look at our blog to learn more.
Heat Exchanger Library 1.5 includes greatly improved steady-state initialization of complex geometry-based heat exchangers. An important previously structural sizing parameter can now be changed after model compilation, including export as FMU, which makes FMI-based workflows more convenient.
Hydro Power Library 2.6.2 supports visualization of actuator signals. This will make it easier to get an overview of the system, especially of large plant models. Other improvements include documentation and cross tool compatibility.
Hydraulics Library 4.5 comes with five new heat exchangers and two new pumps. Such thermo-hydraulic models are important in the analysis of systems that are constrained in the performance they can deliver by the dissipation of heat. Hydraulics Library provides a complete framework to predict both performance and thermal aspects. With the latest additions, it makes the build-up of accurate prediction models even easier as there is a wider array of predefined components.
Hydraulics Library now also includes a detailed automatic transmission example model with extensive documentation. It demonstrates how multi-domain physical modeling based on the Hydraulics Library can be used to predict the shift shock phenomenon. It includes the hydraulic actuation system model, an array of mechanical models, and closed loop feedback control. If you work with automatic transmissions then this example will kick-start your modeling work.
Liquid Cooling Library 1.5.1 includes pressure visualization in all component models for online monitoring of system behavior. The pump model received a major improvement in terms of robustness outside normal operating conditions, user friendliness and documentation.
Pneumatics Library 2.1 provides five new heat exchangers plus two additional turbines and three new compressors. These component models are particularly important for the analysis of thermally constrained systems. With its thermo-pneumatic layer, Pneumatics Library does not only enable predictions of dynamic performance but also of thermal aspects. With the new component models the build-up of precise simulation models has become even easier.
Thermal Power Library 1.13 adds a solar package, a nuclear steam generator plant model, optimization-friendly media, and many other new models, features and improvements. Read more about news in Thermal Power Library in our recent blog.
Vapor Cycle Library 1.4 is a minor maintenance release which includes an improved pump model with safe extrapolation outside the specified operating range
Vehicle Dynamics Library 2.4 includes:
